Ambassador Phillips Visits Iraq-Bound Estonian Troops

On November 13, 2007, Ambassador Phillips visited Klooga to observe the training of ESTPLA-16, the next Estonian platoon to deploy to Iraq . The platoon, deploying in December 2007, will conduct difficult and dangerous counter-insurgency operations side-by-side with U.S. forces outside of Baghdad. Ambassador Phillips took the time to talk to the Estonian soldiers, thanked the members of ESTPLA-16 for volunteering to serve in such a dangerous combat mission, and wished them well during their deployment.
